The composition of the mobile phone tempered glass screen protector can be simply divided into three parts: AB glue, tempered glass, and coating. Here’s what our custom phone tempered glass supplier has to say about it:
AB glue
It is, in essence, a PET film (that is, a PET substrate) coated with silicon on one side and optically bonded to the phone screen on the other. The silicone side is bonded to the phone’s screen while the OCA is bonded to the tempered glass. The market is full of companies that use PET films for uses like UV blockage, blue light blocking, and anti-scratch. Good AB glue is ultra-thin, has higher light transmission, better exhaust, and is more touch-sensitive to touch.
If the silicone surface of AB glue is good enough, the film will automatically fit without white edges when pasted. Inferior glue has insensitive touch or fails or jumps when touched. This is annoying. When I want to replace the tempered film after using it for a long time, I find it difficult to tear it off. Some even tear off the tempered glass screen protector, leaving glue residue on the screen. One reason is that it may have been used for too long, and another reason is that the glue may not be good. In two or three months, good screen protectors should still be easily removed. If you peel it off and paste it on another mobile phone, it can be used normally.
Tempered glass
Basically, “toughening” is the process of heating glass to a temperature that is about to soften and let it cool quickly. The only way to turn ordinary glass into the tempered glass is by using this process, and the tempering time is sufficient to improve the performance of glass. The high strength of tempered glass has to be said, and the strength includes impact strength and flexural strength.
First of all, it is necessary to say the bending resistance:
Tempered glass is generally thought to be very hard. It is also one of the characteristics of tempered glass that sets it apart from other types of glass. In particular, the tempered glass used as a tempered film has a strong bending resistance. It is even possible to overlap the top and bottom with a thinner layer, and the impact strength is also better.
Thickness and impact strength: A toughened film is usually 0.3mm thick or more, 0.2 is less, 0.15 and 0.1mm are more uncommon. The thicker the toughened film, the greater the impact strength, but the toughened film’s purpose is not only to resist impact, normal use is not as impactful. Those who prefer a thicker feel choose thicker. With the anti-fall feature, the phone with a tempered glass screen protector can protect the screen of the phone from cracking to a certain extent. In case of a fall, it is best to avoid it; however, the most vulnerable part of the tempered glass is on the corners. Regardless of how good the tempered film is, there is a possibility of chipping. The popular all-inclusive tempered film on the market is easy to chip as well. The higher the number in front of D, the higher the degree of curvature of the tempered film edge, i.e., the curvature of the curved edge is greater (i.e., the edge is much thinner than the middle part), but the side where they are attached to the mobile phone screen is still flat. Cold carving and hot bending are both used to make edges more rounded.
A process called “second-strong” has been developed to deal with the problem of easily broken edges. Through this process, the strength of tempered glass can be further increased. You can also check the information to understand the specific process flow of the second strong. Tempered glass screen protectors are also known for their scratch resistance.
Coating
Benefits: ease of cleaning, drips into beads. The screen of most mobile phones has small drops of water instead of a layer of water when it is wiped with a wet paper towel. This is because the screen surface is also coated, but this coating may last as long as the tempered film. It will wear off over time.
A good-tempered glass screen protector is easy to stick, easy to tear, not easy to break the edges, smooth, and easy to clean. Depending on your needs, matte vision, anti-blue light, high transparency, or recently more popular features such as anti-peeping, are available.
